Premium

Everything in Basic, and:

In the app now, free for everyone until Premium opens

  • Every year overlaid on the charts, plus income against expenses

Being built

  • Shared access for a partner, by email, with roles
  • A monthly email with your numbers, and a warning when a planned month goes red

If you are here before Premium opens

You get the whole app, free, with no limits. That includes the parts that will become Premium: as many years ahead as you want, up to ten saved what-ifs, and every year on the charts.

When Premium opens, you get the same free period as someone who signs up that day, counted from that day. When it ends, your account moves to Basic unless you choose to pay. You are told your own date in the app and by email, well before it arrives.

Moving to Basic takes nothing away. Every what-if and every year you built stays on screen and in your exports, and you can still complete and correct every month. You just cannot add more than Basic allows.

What stays free, whatever happens

Two things are never sold, and it is worth saying which so the question does not come back one feature at a time.

The past. Every month you completed, every correction, and all your history stay readable however old the account is. CSV export of any year and a full download of your account stay free as well. If you ever stop paying you keep every year you built, on screen and in a spreadsheet. You are simply not offered another one.

The monthly routine. Completing a month, naming the major expenses inside it, and doing that on a phone is the whole point of Yearfolio. It is the worst place in the app to put a paywall.

Long enough to see it work

Yearfolio only proves itself over months. General expenses settle after about four completed ones, and the part worth paying for, planning a year off a real figure instead of a guess, needs a December to happen at all. A thirty-day trial would show you the typing and none of the point.

So Premium opens free, and it runs to a January far enough away to have been worth having. If you already use Yearfolio when it opens, the day it opens counts as your start.

Start between January and July. Premium is free until the coming January.

Start between August and December. That January is too soon to have been useful, so Premium runs to the one after it.

Six to seventeen months, depending on when you arrive. You are told your own date the day you sign up, it stays in your settings, and an email arrives before it does. When it ends, nothing is taken away: every year, every what-if and every month you completed stays readable and exportable, and Basic carries on running the method on this year and the next.

What free does not mean

It does not mean you are the product. Yearfolio has no advertising, and your budget is not sold, shared, or mined by anyone. The privacy policy is the short version of what is stored and why, and it is short because the answer is: what you typed, and nothing else.

Questions about any of this are welcome at support@yearfolio.com.
